Patriotic Whoopie Pies
I did it for cooking during the last weekend of my sister's celebration for the beginning of July 4th. Whoppie pies are a family favorite and I always try new variations. Sounds very lively, but the most important is the combination of new delicious flavors!

Ingredients
for vanilla whoppie cakes
- 2/3 cups butter milk
- 1 cup of crystallized sugar
- 4 large egg yolks
- 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 teaspoons of yeast
- 2 cups of all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 4 ounces of unsalted butter, at room temperature
- red food coloring, gel or liquid
- food color blue, gel or liquid
- 6 tablespoons of unsalted butter, at room temperature
Strawberry cream strawberry
- 7 ounces of marshmallow feather pots
- 1 1/2 cups of icing sugar
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/3 cup of good quality strawberry jam

- 1/2 cup red, white and blue nuggets
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 350. Cover the baking sheet with baking paper
- In a bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Beat butter, sugar, and egg yolks until tender, add vanilla and buttermilk. Add flour mixture and stir well
- Lift half the mixture into another bowl
- Fill a bowl of blue dough with blue food coloring. Other red paint with red food volume
- Lower 2 tablespoons in the pan. Small smooth tops
- Bake until cooked again when touched 10 to 12 minutes. Let it cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a rack until it is completely cold.
- CREATE FILLING CREAM
- Beat the butter until smooth, add the remaining ingredients and stir until smooth
- Strawberry cream sandwich between blue cake and red cake
- To finish the whoppie pie, apply dust on the plate
- Roll the ends of the whoppie pie filled with nuggets to cover up the mistakes
